Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These Terms of Service apply when you use the About60 mobile app, the website at about60.com, and related About60 services. Please read them before using the service.

1. Who provides About60

About60 is operated by ABOUT 60 LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17242758, with its registered office at 86 Tala Close, Surbiton, England, KT6 7EY.

In these terms, “About60”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean ABOUT 60 LTD. “You” means the person using the service.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, selecting an acceptance control, or continuing to use About60 after these terms are shown to you, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 to use About60. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has permitted you to use it.

3. What About60 provides

About60 is a bar billiards companion service. Features may include learning material, live scoring, saved game history, venue discovery, check-ins, friends, groups, invitations, privacy controls, disputes, notifications and community features.

About60 is not a governing body for bar billiards and does not itself provide betting or wagering services. Competition, league and venue rules may differ from information shown in the app and take priority for their own events.

4. Accounts and security

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for keeping access to your device and sign-in method secure.
  • You must not create an account using another person's identity or impersonate another player.
  • Tell us promptly at info@about60.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Some features may be available in guest mode. Guest information may remain only on the device and may be lost if the app is removed, the device is reset, or you move to another device without completing an available account or synchronisation process.

5. Player names and information about other people

About60 allows users to enter player names, create unclaimed player records, record games involving other people, tag companions and send invitations. You must use these features responsibly.

  • Only enter information that is accurate, relevant and lawful to use.
  • Do not add offensive, misleading or invasive information about another person.
  • Do not upload another person's photograph without their permission.
  • Respect another person's request to correct, remove or keep their venue participation private.

6. Your content

“Your content” includes names, profile images, group details, check-in messages, game records, corrections, dispute information and anything else you submit to About60.

You keep any rights you have in your content. You give About60 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, adapt for technical purposes, display and share that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and to apply the visibility choices you select. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where a retained copy is required by law, remains in a normal backup cycle, or has been anonymised as part of a shared record.

You confirm that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not infringe another person's rights or break the law.

7. Privacy and visibility choices

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Some About60 features are private; others are designed to share information with game participants, selected friends or groups, or the wider community. Check the selected visibility option before saving or sharing.

About60 will apply the controls available in the service, but we cannot control screenshots, exports, messages or copies made by another person after information has been shared with them.

8. Location, venue verification and check-ins

Nearby venue, game-verification and check-in features depend on device location, venue coordinates, signal quality and permissions. They may be unavailable or inaccurate indoors, where Precise Location is disabled, or where venue data is incomplete.

A verified or approximate check-in is an app-generated proximity result. It is not proof of identity, attendance, safety, permission to be at a venue, or compliance with a league or venue rule. Do not falsify a check-in or try to bypass a location check.

9. Scores, results and disputes

The app assists with scoring and record keeping, but users remain responsible for checking entries during play. About60 does not guarantee that a score, break, winner, venue or historical record is error-free.

Any official result is determined by the relevant players, league, competition organiser or venue—not by About60. In-app correction and dispute tools are provided to help participants resolve records and do not replace an organiser's own process.

10. Venue and third-party information

Venue details, opening information, map results, directions and external links may come from public sources, venue submissions or third parties. They can change without notice. Check important details directly with the venue before travelling.

Third-party services such as Apple, Google, Firebase, YouTube, mapping providers and app stores have their own terms and privacy policies. About60 is not responsible for their separate services, content or availability.

11. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use About60 for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or harassing activity;
  • impersonate another person, manipulate records dishonestly, falsify location or misuse invitations;
  • upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or bypass the security of the service;
  • scrape, harvest or use other users' information for unsolicited marketing;
  • reverse engineer, copy or modify the app except where the law expressly allows it;
  • use automated systems to access the service without our written permission; or
  • use About60 in a way that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

12. Our intellectual property

About60 and its licensors own the app, website, branding, designs, software, databases and original content, excluding content that users own. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use About60 for its intended purpose on devices you own or control.

13. Changes, updates and availability

We may add, change, suspend or remove features, release updates, correct errors, or limit access where reasonably necessary. We aim to keep About60 available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. You may need a supported device, current software, internet access and third-party services to use some features.

14. Suspending or ending access

We may warn, restrict, suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been seriously or repeatedly breached, the service or another person is at risk, or the law requires it. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a reasonable opportunity to appeal.

You may stop using About60 at any time. Signed-in users can initiate account deletion from the account settings in the app. Account deletion removes the account, profile and private data through the deletion process. Shared game history may remain in anonymised form so other participants' records remain intact.

15. Responsibility and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

About60 is provided for personal and community use. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses, or for loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by a user or third party, unsupported devices, venue decisions, internet failure, or use of the service contrary to these terms.

You remain responsible for playing safely, following venue instructions, checking equipment and surroundings, and complying with league, competition and venue rules.

16. App store terms

If you download About60 through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the relevant store's terms also apply. The app is licensed, not sold. The store operator is not responsible for providing About60 support unless its own terms say otherwise. Mandatory app-store terms take priority where they conflict with these terms.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when About60, our business or the law changes. We will post the current version and update date on this page. Where a change materially affects users, we will take reasonable steps to give additional notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you keep any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under the law that applies where you live.
